My big tree adventure!!! Part 1

Well today was one of the most of my life! My female person decided that I should learn to climb a tree so that I would have an escape in case a big nasty came after me.

So she held me up to the tree and encouraged me to climb!

I'm not sure this is such a good idea...that's a long ways up.

But with a careful spot and a bit of a boost, I get my claws going and start to climb!

Soon I'm powering up the tree and the bird house is within reach!

At last I reach the birdhouse and mantel up!

Oooh, I can smell birdies in here!

The view from on top is wonderful!

Soon my exploration instincts kick in.

And I investigate the tree from limb to limb.

It was a great adventure...but getting down again proved a challenge. Let's just say it wasn't as dignified as I'd like but I made it safely back to basecamp.

Guarding the tomatoes

Those pesky hummingbirds keep visiting my people's tomato plants so I must stay on guard. But I don't get much appreciation for my efforts, harrumph!
